Consortium members are committed to providing low-cost access to computer technology to those in our community.  The following organizations are involved in recycling and refurbishing efforts.

Description

Goodwill Industries of the Greater Merrimack Valley Goodwill is designated by the state to accept computer workstations and monitors, which are considered hazardous waste.  They will charge a $10 fee for drop off.   Goodwill also provides low-cost workstations for the home ($80-$200) at their regional stores.  For more information contact Lori Macguire at lorimag@juno.com

Pathfinders / Milestone currently has VISTA volunteers dedicated to refurbishing older PCs.  In addition to creating useable workstations for themselves, their clients, and other Consortium members, they have opportunities to learn about PC support and maintenance. For more information contact David Crist at Deesystems@mediaone.net
UTEC

UTEC runs a "Take Technology Home" program where families (1 adult and 1 youth) participate in a 10-12 week basic computer training and support class.  At the end of the class, each family takes home a computer.  For more information contact Gregg Croteau at gwcroteau@hotmail.com or Isaias Rodrigues at isaias317@hotmail.com .
