Lowell Transitional Living Center
|
![]() DescriptionThe Lowell Transitional Living Center is the last stop for many folks who have 'fallen through the cracks' of society's safety net. Many suffer from mental illness, and are struggling with issues of addiction.Others are experiencing financial difficulty due to an insufficient educational background and poor job skills. Still others are veterans of our foreign wars, working folks who cannot find decent, safe housing due to the nationwide shortage of affordable housing, young adults who age out of DSS/DYS (Department of Social Services / Department of Youth Services) and have nowhere to go and more recently, record numbers of senior citizens whose families have moved on or given up on them. Whatever the life circumstances that brought them to our door, the Lowell Transitional Living Center is a warm bed, a hot meal and protection from the cold. And even more important than the medical care, counseling, housing support, and case management services that we offer, is the intangible but critically important gift of hope the LTLC offers to our guests."
