Description
Girls Inc. of Greater Lowell is a non-profit agency that serves girls ages
6 to 18 from a variety of ethnic, social, and economic backgrounds. Girls
Inc. inspires all girls to be strong, smart, and bold. Creative programs
instill the independence and personal responsibility girls need to succeed
in a changing world. The Girls Inc. technology center allows its young members
access to a wide variety of classes, software programs, and educational
games. Basic skills and some advanced techniques are learned at the technology
center. This early introduction to technology gives girls a head start and
a chance at many opportunities.

Training
Girls Inc. offers public access for members only ages 6-18 on Mondays through
Fridays, 2:00PM-5:30PM (10-30 participants per day). Girls Inc. also offers
a variety of classes on a rotating basis, including basic skills, Internet
safety, homework help and test prep, and newsletter publishing.
The following are a sample of the classes offered on a rotating basis.

Fees
There is a yearly membership fee of $15.00 plus a monthly activity fee during
the school year and weekly activity fee during the summer and during vacation
weeks. All classes are included in the activity fee.
