![]() DescriptionThe Cambodian Mutual Assistance Association (CMAA) of Greater Lowell is dedicated to improving the quality of life for Cambodian-Americans and other ethnic minorities through educational, cultural, social, community, and economic development efforts. The CMAA envisions a unified, self-sufficient, economically strong, educated, and empowered Cambodian-American community which cherishes Southeast Asian culture and values while embracing American mainstream cultures. Software· MS Word Special· overhead projector TrainingThe CMAA offers a series of three introductory computer classes. Computer I is a basic course for new users; hardware, start-up, shut-down, Windows, MS Word, and typing skills are covered in this class. Computer II is an extension of Computer I, and explores in greater detail Windows and MS Word to enable students create more complex documents including resumes, flyers, and telephone lists. Students are also introduced to MS PowerPoint in Computer II. Computer III explores MS PowerPoint in depth. Students prepare a business presentation as a final project in the class. Contact the CMAA for a current schedule of classes. FeesAll services are free. Future PlansThe CMAA would like to see increased use of the computer lab by youth and the elderly in the future. There will be an opportunity for youth and the elderly to participate in the planning and execution of a fundraiser geared toward producing finances for a renovation of CMAA's facilities. |
